ESCAPE PLAN
Game Concept
The game relies on the concept of our protagonist escaping the traps set all over the city. The traps are of different types like, Arrow trap, Fire trap, spikes and spike head. The protagonist is supposed to escape through the traps and reach at the end of the tunnel to win the game. The protagonist can do multiple jumps and can climb the walls as well. He must use his abilities to escape the traps hence the game name “Escape Plan”.
The control of the game is very simple. The main keys are a and s or left key and right key for the movement of player whereas space key can be used to jump and double pressing the space key allows the player to jump twice.
Difference from the original game
The game I planned to make was a batman themed game which followed the same gameplay as the player travels through the scene escaping hurdles and fighting the goons in the game. I also wanted my caped crusader to have the ability to throw batarangs and punch the felons in the game whilst encountering the main villain joker in the end. The end project differs mostly on its promised ability such as goons and villains and only consists of traps throughout giving it the name escape plan in the process. The game I wanted to create custom art of batman and Gotham city in the background whereas, in this game. I have used the free 2d asset in Unity store of the dragon warrior and pixel adventure 1.
The main thing lacking from the previous game is the theme I was going to go for that was the batman theme game. Sadly, I didn’t take that approach due to the complexity of creating art and implementing them on your own game.
Tester Feedback
Although I participated in giving of feedback, I didn’t showcase my game and ran a successful testing group as my game was incomplete during the moment.
Although I couldn’t get feedback from my peers, I did take some feedback from my friends who pointed out how I needed to add more traps and make a game bit more tough to play. This made me create more traps in the game to play though.
Used Assets and Arts
There are many assets I used for the creation of the game, and it goes as such.
- Main Character- The main dragon inspired character of our game is used from this asset. This asset provided with the character getting hurt, jumping and dying that is used in our game, https://assetstore.unity.com/pAf0ZD2hvycF

- Background theme- The theme of the game was taken from creator called Patrick De Artega, who provides music for games and other media needed. I used his tune called “Heroic Intrusion’. https://patrickdearteaga.com/

Bugs and issues with the game
Although playable there is some bugs in the game that may hinder your ability to enjoy such as.
- When you walking you get stuck in the middle although there is no blockade. Jumping and moving forward is the solution for this.
- The selection of buttons may differ at times, I am also not able to figure out the solution for this yet.
- The ending of the game as you may have to restart the game for this part.
